Mering came up with a brilliant idea once every year in November with the candle light shopping. This takes place at the center of Mering. As crazy as it may sound… It is very romantic and somehow very cozy. That’s the only time.. you can shop in a comfortable atmosphere.. without feeling the effect of shopping.. 
It’s warm spell.. plays an awesome effect on you..Every shop beaming with beautiful candles, torches outside. Giving you this cozy atmosphere of being pampered. Some sort of intimate moment with the buyers and vendors, as well as visitors..
The aroma of food in the air.. children’s laughter, music, as lovers go by hand in hand.. Excellent, brilliant idea… and very entertaining as well… MAGICAL.. I must say… you have to be here to feel this spell…See you next year..
